What do I need to consider before bidding on watches? How can it be authenticated?

All watches sold in the auction are from GMG Watches, a UK-based company with 7+ years of experience and over 1000 watches traded annually. Each watch comes with the GMG seal of approval, having been verified and authenticated by our in-house experts.

Can I view the item before the auction?

Unfortunately, no. However, we provide up to 10 photos and often a video of the watch at auction.

 What will the fees be?

 Simple fee process:

  • £100 listing fee for those listing their watch for sale.
  • £195 winning bidder fee (charged only if reserve is met).
  • £195 seller fee (charged only if the auction reserve is met).

Can I set a bidding limit?

Yes, you can set a bidding limit.

What happens if I win an auction?

Congratulations! Our team will contact you immediately to arrange invoice, payment, and collection/delivery. We usually request immediate payment and collection/delivery within 7 days.

First time bidding? Do you have any tips? Does it cost to sign up?

No cost to sign up. Tips: Read descriptions carefully and ensure funds are available.

Will it come with a warranty?

All watches come as described. GMG Watches typically provides a 1-year parts warranty and an insurance-approved receipt.

What if I change my mind?

Bids can't be retracted. Take care when bidding and ensure you have funds available.

How can I show my watch is authentic?

A purchase receipt or detailed photographs, including close-ups or a video, would be ideal. You can also bring your watch to us for an official sign-off.

Will any piece be put into the auction?

Yes, you'll see the listing before it goes live. We value transparency.

Yes, we offer a buy it now option.

Can I discuss a piece without signing up?

Absolutely! Feel free to call us or contact us directly for discussions.

Can I withdraw my lot when the auction is live?

Unfortunately, once the listing is live, withdrawal is not possible. The listing fee is non-refundable.

What if my watch is flagged as stolen? What info must I provide?

All watches are checked on the Watch Register before auction listing.
